The main focus of the Economics Teamn of the Association of German Banks is on relevant economic policy issues.

The focus of his work is on selected topics of economic policy that are particularly relevant for the banking industry. These include, in particular, monetary and currency policy. The thematic group analyses the current economic situation and, together with the Committee for Economic and Monetary Policy, prepares its own economic forecast every six months. Developments in the banking sector are monitored and events on the capital markets are examined, especially with a view to system stability
