Banken ON SCREEN - Basel IV.

The EU implementation of Basel III is expected to begin at the end of summer 2021. According to the Basel Committee, the regulation is to come into force on 1 January 2023. A number of recent impact studies conducted by various parties have concluded that the reform will have a significant impact on Europe’s banking industry. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to hinder economic recovery in EU member states. Equally, this crisis has shown once again how important the banks are in helping to overcome the resulting economic challenges. This situation raises the key question of how Europe’s economic recovery can be achieved in the midst of such a comprehensive regulatory reform of the banking sector.
