In the team, we deal with all payment methods, be it with cash in trade or with the mobile phone in real time. In order for this to function smoothly, legal and organisational-technical framework conditions are necessary to create binding and thus reliable procedures. This also includes making current technologies usable for payment transactions and opening up new application possibilities. Our work therefore brings us together with all those involved in payment transactions - ranging from the European Commission to the exchange with providers of infrastructure and other economic sectors to the design of information for consumers. We have contributed significantly to the fact that customers prefer to pay with the girocard in shops, the only independent procedure in Europe, and we will continue to advocate for attractive payment procedures in the future.
