Team Assistant European and International Affairs

The Association of German Banks, with its headquarters in Berlin and liaison offices in Brussels and Frankfurt, is one of the largest economic associations in Germany. It represents the interests of private German banks and fintechs at national, European and international level.

We are looking for someone to join our European and International Affairs team working from Brussels as a team assistant. This is a full-time, permanent position (38 hours per week).

The team focusses on European and international financial market regulation and is responsible for cooperating with European institutions as well as associations, organisations and businesses at the European and international level.

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • You will organise bilateral meetings for the Association of German Banks – in particular for its presidents and senior management board.
  • You will help plan and coordinate events and provide support organising committee meetings for the association.
  • You will draft briefing documents for bilateral meetings, events and committee meetings.
  • You will help supervise interns.
  • Monitoring press reports and compile newsletters and other information in a variety of formats will also be part of your weelky tasks.
  • You will update the team’s intranet and internet sites.

 

Our requirements and expectations:

 

  • You have successfully completed a vocational training or study course (preferably in a subject relating to business, politics or languages).
  • You have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to express yourself competently in German and English, both verbally and in writing. Advanced knowledge of French is desirable, but not essential.
  • You have acquired a certain level of digital competence and you are confident using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • You are diligent and conscientious, loyal and trustworthy, as well as being proactive and capable of working unsupervised.
  • You enjoy working in a versatile and international environment, have a certain creative flair and are open to new ideas.
