Comments on the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA)

The German Banking Industry Committee (GBIC) supports the European Commission’s objective of strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty and reducing dependencies in cloud, AI and data centre infrastructures. However, it is essential that the proposed Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA) be designed in a technology-open and risk-based manner and does not create additional parallel regulatory requirements for banks. For credit institutions, the existing DORA framework must remain the primary regulatory framework.
