The Association of German Banks- based in Berlin and with liaison offices in Brussels and Frankfurt - is one of Germany's largest trade associations. It represents the interests of private banks and FinTechs operating in Germany at national, European and international level.

Our vacancy for Team Assistant Europe and International Affairs (f/m/d) might be the right new challenge for you! This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), based in Brussels.

The Europe and International Affairs team is responsible for cooperation with the European institutions as well as associations, organizations and companies at European and international level.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As part of the team, you will support colleagues in their daily work, such as preparing briefings for bilateral meetings, events and committee meetings.
  • You will plan and coordinate bilateral meetings for the Association of German Banks – in particular for ist presidents and senior management board. You will ensure that everything runs smoothly and take all organizational requirements into account.
  • You will be responsible for the budget management of the office, including accounting and travel planning for the team.
  • You regularly update the content of the intranet and the team's website to ensure that it is up-to-date and professional.
  • You are responsible for managing the contact database to facilitate cooperation with European institutions and international partners.

Our requirements and expectations:

  • You have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to express yourself competently in German and English, both verbally and in writing. Fluent German is mandatory. Advanced knowledge of French is desirable, but not essential.
  • You have successfully completed a vocational training, e.g. European Management Assistant, or study course (preferably in a subject relating to business, politics or languages).
  • You have acquired a certain level of digital competence and you are confident using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • You are diligent and conscientious, loyal and trustworthy, as well as being proactive and capable of working unsupervised.
