Savings and Investments Union – EU-Commission’s targeted consultation

BdB has commented on selected issues raised by the EU Commission’s targeted consultation on the integration of EU capital markets. BdB welcomes the consultation as an important first step. However, targeted measures to mobilize savings and deepen the EU capital market need more than technical changes in the EU regulation. The evolvements of successful capital markets, such as Sweden, can serve as a blueprint for measures taken by the EU Commission.
