On 14 December 2023, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a discussion paper for consultation on the Pillar 3 Data Hub (P3DH). The GBIC welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the project to establish a harmonised information hub at EBA level. However, the GBIC is concerned that the new disclosure process for the data hub will lead to considerably more complexity for all institutions, which is not sufficiently proportionate to the actual benefits of using it. In addition, the EBA’s timeline seems very ambitious. The new disclosure processes should certainly be made as simple as possible. Further details and comments can be found in our GBIC Comments on the P3DH.
