In the context of the ongoing review of the EU Taxonomy’s climate and environmental delegated acts, the GBIC calls for significant simplifications to ensure the framework can be applied effectively in practice complexity — while maintaining robust environmental standards.

In particular, the DNSH criteria should be streamlined, applied on a risk-based basis, better aligned with EU law, while avoiding duplicate checks, accepting recognised certifications as evidence, and exempting retail products from disproportionate requirements.
